A few days ago my jill tried to give birth to kits. Two kits descended into
the birth canal at the same time and stuck so a cesarean incision was
performed.
I would like to know if anyone here experienced anything like this before?
(I know it's written in "James G Fox: Ferret" (I have the book), but I was
told it's a rare thing and would like to get some additional information on
this subject.)
How rare it is? Is there any way to prevent it, to detect it, to avoid it?
The mother and the remaining kits are all right (5 out of 11).
**I have seen it once in one of my jills - at that point I was able to
repulse one of the kits and allow the other one to be delivered, followed
immediately by the kit I had repulsed. No real way to predict or prevent it, I'm
afraid. It all is dependent on the muscle contractions of the uterus. More likely
to happen in large litters such as your jill had, but even then, not common.**
