Ardith - PLEASE - Our very first ferret died of a TERRIBLE LIVER CANCER --
His favorite toys were onions he stole out of the basket in the pantry
-- he never ate one, just picked them up with his teeth and carried them
to stash he was dead at the age of 3 hemolytic anemia and the hottest
liver cancer our vet has ever seen engulfed over 3/4s of the liver...

Onions and garlic and related bulbous plants are indeed TOXIC to ferrets!
