NOT NECESSARILY!

Whether this is a large or small amount of Prednisolone entirely depends on the
concentration of the liquid. In past years between Pediapred and generic Prednisolone
types I have encountered 1 mg/ml, 2 mg/ml, 5 mg/ml and 7 mg/ml. The last of those
contains 7 times as much medication as the first one.

We have gone as high as 5 mg per day (spread in three doses) for a small female who had
very advanced insulinoma. When between a rock and a hard place options get tried.

At the various concentrations that I know of for Prednisolone this ferrets may be getting

0.75 mg of med per day (at one mg per ml)

1.5 mg of med per day (at two mg per ml)

3.73 mg of med per day (at five mg per ml)

OR

5.25 mg of med per day (at 7 mg per ml)

so there is NO WAY TO KNOW HOW MUCH MED THIS FERRET IS GETTING WITH ONLY THE
ML MEASUREMENT GIVEN and the possibilities vary widely even among the the NON-
compounded versions. Compounded ones vary even more.
