I find this interesting as well. We have a year old ferret that is also marked like a reverse skunk and his name is Pepe as well. He too is deaf. We did not realize this when we bought him but shortly afterwards we noticed he did not come to a squeaky toy like the others. He also has a sensitive stomach. We have been trying to change his food to give him a better grade of food and his tummy gets upset with the littlest change in food. Thank goodness he likes pepto bismol. A little treat of that and his tummy is ok again. I might add that even though he is deaf, he is one of the sweetest little guys we have. He is very loving but you have to watch where you step because he is very visual and always under foot. He looks to us for signals instead of listening for them.
