I'm not a vet or vet tech, just speaking from some past experience. So take
this with a grain of salt.
Our Clyde had swollen feet and legs after he developed CHF, he also had
problems walking after the swelling developed. You might want to have your vet
check to see if your little guy is developing CHF or some other medical problem.

I wrote about my ferret Alvin (5 y.o. male) having swollen feet for a
few days about a month ago. He also had much difficulty getting
around at the time and his legs would tremble a lot. (Please see

treated with a shot of Lasix, Clavamox and Prednisolone and had
recuperated just fine, or so I thought.
