Subject: [ferrethealth] loss boo boo
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I just wanted to let the group know that I loss my 7 year old female
ferret on 7/24 ... she was the one that had the squmous cell carcinoma
of the lip...

Sadded to say she never made it pass the anethesia... vet said her
heart just stopped... He tried compression and breathe to bring her
back but could not..

I did get to hold her and my Taz who is terminal with cancer was there
that day getting BG checked and I let him say his good bye to her.

She was so cold... I saw her a few minutes, before they were going to
take her back to start surgery... the vet tech weighed her .. boo boo
was in good spirits and happy.. she saw me and I said hi baby you be a
big girl and mommie will be back to pick you up and take you home...
she seem so excited.. the techs there just love the ferrets.. I have 3..

It was a sad sad day.. I think I am still in shock... not sure what
really happened don't know if she got to much gas, or maybe it was
just her time to go....

The night before she slept in the crease of my arm and slept there the
whole night... I covered her with my blanket as a little person... I
would wake up off and on watch her sleep , rub her little ears and talk
to her about her upcoming surgery... give her tons of kisses tell her
how much I love her... And then never getting to bring her home...

I had a creamation service pick her up and she is coming home to me in
a few hours...today.... at least her little spirit if free and happy.
She is now with her other cagemate socks, her dog buster, and my dad
who adore her... so the only way we deal with grieve is to never forget
the good times , and all the joy they bring into our lives , and know
that there is a place called the rainbow bridge were they dook, romp
and no more pain...

Thank for all of the information this group has given me.. I swear you
all kept me sane through it all....

God bless,
Breanna
