I do not think it would be a good idea, it would raise his
glucose for a short time but it would cause more insulin to be
produced thus aggravating the situation.
You seem to have done all that you can but this is a pernicious
disease and in most cases (but not all) will prove to be terminal.
There are possible new treatments being tested\researched,
but not yet available (I think not yet?).
