Subject: [ferrethealth] Reaction to Rabies vaccine

Has anyone heard of a reaction to the rabies
vaccine?
I had two ferrets that reacted to the Rabies vaccine.
One had a severe reaction requiring a hospital stay, the other was treated and sent home that evening.
The first ferret did not receive another vaccination, which meant I made many changes in the rest of her life with us.
The second ferret was pre-treated by my vet before *any* vaccinations from then on.
With all my ferrets, I wait at the clinic for over an hour after any vaccination, just in case help is needed.
