This is a long shot, but I have had two ferrets that when they were
overdue for their Ferretonin implants, they would chew the hair off the
ends of their tails. Getting the implants have always helped them.
Look carefully for signs of adrenal. I suspect their chewing the hair
off their tails to be stress related. Two years of age is not too
young to experience adrenal disease, and Ferretonin is an affordable
choice to see if it makes a difference.
