Subject: [ferrethealth] Fluid around the lungs and heart
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
Hey everyone,
I posted earlier about my 8 y.o. male ferret with fluid around his
lungs. I have considered all the options, and he is too old for
surgery and too happy and energetic to put him to sleep. I am
discussing a kind of hospice like arrangement where we will have the
fluid aspirated every so often. I am wondering if there is any
medication that would encourage his body to reabsorb the fluid, like
they use with people? I am also going to ask the vet about ulcer
medication as his poop is still very dark.
