This ferret HAS to go to the vet. Possible causes include but are not limited to kidney
disease, or having tried eating something irritating, caustic or acidic.
A serious and unexplained drop in weight by itself should indicate need for a vet visit, but
the sores may make it easier to find the cause.
Hopefully, by now the ferret is already getting vet care and the answer will soon be known.
