I know some have asked what glucose machine to
use for ferret blood glucose testing. Now Abbott has
finished their testing of their AlphaTREK machine with
ferret samples. They recommend using the dog code
(which is code number 7). They used 40 ferrets to test
their machine and then compared it to a commercial lab,
and the dog code (#7) was very accurate for ferrets.
Thus the answer to what machine to use is the Abbott
AlphaTREK machine.
