Subject: [ferrethealth] Weakness, can't walk
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Aside from insulinoma, what else could cause a ferret to not be able
to walk? At first, we thought she was just weak from not
eating...that's not it. According to various informational sites, she
doesn't have any other insulinomic symptoms, but I guess she wouldn't
necessarily have to. I want to know what I need to ask the vet. She's
lost way too much weight and we're having to syringe feed gravy and
water. She is addicted to n-bones, which we have taken her off of for
the past month or more. Poor Rainbow can't make it to the litter box
so just poops where she sleeps and continues to sleep in it. Advice is
needed, but we will be going to the vet first thing in the morning
since we had an appointment anyway. She only stopped being able to
walk this morning.

Thanks,
Ann
