Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: palliative care

My Jerry Springer was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy a little over a
week ago. He was on Lasix 2X a day for 4 days to relieve the fluid
buildup in his abdominal cavity. Jerry is 10 1/2 years old so we did
Xrays to check his heart after my vet listend to his heart and said
it didn't sound right. His heart is enlarged but also has a large
tumor growing off the heart.
You should at least get you ferret on a diaretic to elieviate the
pressure from the fluid buildup as this can also restrict your
ferret's breathing.
