Subject: [ferrethealth] Red chest
I have a male sable ferret, about 4 - 5 years old. When I took him in a
year ago he had a very enlarged spleen so that was removed as well as
some nodules from the pancreas. He gets along well on .35 ml of
Prednisolone (5mg/5ml). I recently tried adding some devil's club, same
formula as Devil's club supreme, from Azmira. His skin on the chest area
is very red and I don't know just when it started, before or after I
added the devil's club but I discontinued it when I noticed. It's been
at least two weeks and there is no improvement. I add the pred to Bob's
Chicken Gravy, made right according to the recipe. Laundry is done
without any scents, I use wood pellets for litter. I don't see him
scratching the area to irritate the skin. Any ideas, anyone?
