Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: Ferret licking hot spot

I have a ferret get exactly what that picture showed. Usually he gets
them if he has been shaved from a blood draw or a surgical procedure.
He just has a skin sensitivity to being shaved I guess. It usually
happens immediately to several weeks after while the hair is growing
in. I have brought him to my vet and he recommends putting an
ointment called "Bacitracin" on it and it cleared up within 24 hours
of putting it on the spot. So I would switch what I was putting on it.
