If the adrenal disease itself is the origin then this ferret could be having anemia secondary to
adrenal disease. The chances of that are reduced by medical treatment but surgery is the
better approach when the ferret can be stabilized well enough. The vet definitely needs to
see that area, and you need to have blood work done and look into meds like Epogen (as well
as Lupron Depot, melatonin implants, etc.) and techniques like blood transfusion just in case
this is what is going on.

Skin things are hard to know the cause of from photos and there are multiple possibilities for
the appearance of the photo.
