Subject: [ferrethealth] How breeders can help kits in pet stores
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com
As you know, several states already have
laws that prevent the sale of kits below
the age of 8 weeks. Hopes and efforts are
for this to extend more widely to better
protect kit health.
Some of the people in states which already
have 8 week laws or regulations would like
to have dental photographs of kits. Ages 6
weeks through 12 weeks would be ideal, but
the big thing is to get images of the changes
that happen at week 8, with what may be most
noticeable to pet store and inspection people
being the replacement of needle-like baby
(deciduous) canines with the permanent (adult)
conical canines.
Could a few, kind breeders who are able to take
such photographs and share them PLEASE put
them into a photo album in the photos section
at the FHL? The FHL URL is the first one of the
 links after my name below.
Many thanks!
