I would have the vet check for distemper or rables
the neurological problems are definitely not normal.
A tox screen needs to be run. and titers checked.
Though not common meningitis has also been seen in ferrets.
Where did this ferret come from? It needs to be reported to the state vet
so they can see if oithers that is was housed with have similar problems.
