I'm sorry for your loss.

For future reference, my vet, several years ago, began to routinely
give a Percorten injection when both adrenal glands are removed, or if
one is particularly large when removed. Often the remaining one has
atrophied and may not start functioning immediately when the other is
removed. Percorten is inexpensive and may save a life.
