To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

I looked through the archives and still can't find anything else on white stools. But I did
see that cefa drops can cause kidney damage. Why would this vet tell me that Buddy is
bordering on kidney failure (which may not even be true given the normal range on his
sheet--though that may be for dogs), and then give me cefa drops with no reason but
"just in case"? If this seems ok, how does 2.5 ml twice a day at 50mg/ml sound?
Next question: can white stools be a symptom of lymphoma? There seems to be a tumor in
his intestines, and the vet who took out his spleen last year said he suspected lymphoma
even though his innards didn't look like it and there was no lab confirmation. And now this
mass.
And finally: How many of you out there have experienced an elderly ferret getting a
herniated disc from old age alone, with no related trauma?

Thanks again,
Clover
