Subject: [ferrethealth] people food ???

I don't understand. All most everyone talks about their Ferrets eating 'People Food'. Mine have always come up on the couch, sniff at what I'm eating, turn up their nose and walk away from it. (Have no interest in people food what so ever. I've even mixed up some recipes that some have fed their little ones, but again I get no response from my lil' critters. Only one time after an operation did Bucky take a liking to any people food. That is when I was to give him liquid medication for a few days. He would put up such a fuss he'd spill most of it on the floor. Would you believe I put some Whipped Topping on the medication and he downed the entire portion.Now for a special treat they all get a banana slice with a little Whipped Topping. They love it. The only other near people food they enjoy is Lipton Brisk Tea. I learned this when Bucky opened his own can and started drinking from it. Other than that, it's strictly Marshalls Ferret Diet for them. I never liked giving an animal people food anyway, even though it would be easier on me to cook for all of us instead of just me.
