Well, the cefadrops treat e coli and salmonella. I just wonder if the problem would be
chronic if either of these were the source?

[Quick moderator's note: That is why I put that in there. Is this a large animal vet? You have said that this vet doesn't know ferrets, so the vet may be just going from the things known to cause white stools in calves while trying to help.]
