Subject: [ferrethealth] Yellow slimy stool - no smell
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Two weeks ago I rescued a ferret from my animal shelter that showed symptoms of adrenal
disease. She appeared to be older, but turns out she is only three or four years of age, losing
her teeth due to severe malnutrition. In my care, she has been thriving and gained almost a
pound - doubling her weight. This morning, I woke up to find her passing bright yellow
(almost orange) mucus-like stools with absolutely no smell. What is this? I've seen ECE
before, but this just doesn't look like that. She was a bit lethargic, but she did drink when I
put the water bowl under her nose.
