To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

Like all of you, I would not use most litters. Possibly Yesterdays News or
something like that. I never used litter at all. Our ferrets are free roam. I
bought the baby mattress protector sheeting, the kind that is felt like and
absorbs wetness into the center not allowing it to go through to the mattress,
or in our case, the carpet. I buy the mattress size because it is less
expensive than buying the portable crib or changing table size. I cut it into the
sizes I want and put it in the areas where they go. I have many and change
them every day. I was asking about the CareFresh because one of the local pet
stores uses it. I went in to see the ferrets the other day and they had been
taken to the back room because of sneezing. The week before they had been
fine. I thought it might be because of the bedding but I don't know anything
about it. I called their corporate store, they were very nice, had checked with
the makers of Carefresh and the ferret breeders and they said it was the best
to use. The CareFresh website says that there are no dyes(?) or additives,
it's scented (? ), but again, according to CareFresh, it is all natural and
very safe. I needed some good information to go to the corporate office with if
this is something they should not be using.

Thanks ~
Tiffany
