Subject: [ferrethealth] ECE

hello all, i hope someone can help me out a little. i have a ferret
with a possible case of ECE. she has the seedy and sometimes green-
slimey poo, but no real lethargy. i say realy because sometimes she is
just plain lazy.
Now the reason why we suspect ECE is because out downstaris neighboors
(we live in an apartment) just got a new baby ferret (3 months old)
and the diarrhea started close to the time that we let them play. The
vet put her on metridonazole (sp?) and amoxidrops, which i give twice
a day. If her poo is still bad in a few days we take her back for
bloodwork.
here is where i need help. What should i be looking for as in signs
of getting better or worse? how do I know whenshe is in the clear or
not, and what will have to be done incase the situation worsens?
Any advice would be absolutely wonderful, as i am a worried fur-mom!
