As far as I know, metronidazole injections need to be given intravenously.
I had a ferret that needed metronidazole a year ago and I had asked my vet
whether it comes in an injectable form and she said yes but that it needs to
be given intravenously. I would welcome metronidazole that can be injected
subcutaneously...
