If it isn't gone today (i.e. if it wasn't a bit of feces in the ascending colon) then it is time for a
vet appointment.

Also see if the lump tracks back toward the left side on the ferret's belly and then upward. In
that case it may be the edge of a very overgrown spleen there on the right side, though there
are certainly other possibilities. We've had two with spleens that grew to that extent, One
with chronic infection and one with lymphoma.

There simply is not an alternative; ferrets need their medical care and budget books have to
be arranged that way even though it is hard when things go wrong. Sorry.
