I became interested in this assertion and decided to check on it.
Specifically, I was wondering if the heating was affecting the rates of free electrolytes vs
ones bonded into salts, because as the wife of a high energy physicist I can already tell
you that a lot of the other things rumored about microwave safety are false (but do take
logical precautions such as avoiding eye exposure -- i.e. don't ever defeat the door to
monitor something with the door open).
It turns out that the plant experiment is highly questionable and to whom it is attributed
varied great among the sites I find that credit it. Please be sure to see:
