What he told me was that that particular med could be absorbed from the stomach or small
intestine when it was protected by oil or fats, or by a coating, but if it was exposed to saliva
or water it changed too much too fast to be in a useable form once it got down there, and
that it could not be readily absorbed by the mouth or esophagus.
