I am pretty sure it is adrenal gland disease, the age is right, the
symptoms when seen is almot exclusive for adrenal gland. The symptoms
of adrenal gland disease can be anything from hair loss ( sometimes just
the tops of the feet, or behind ears, to full bald spots), to muscle wasting
at rear, to weight loss, to aggressive behavior, to mating behavior, to
noticeable change in smell. It can be all of the above, or one of the
above. In my experience, I have mostly had hair thinning as initial signs,
but have had one with a beautiful coat and had bilateral adrenal, the key
was the previous owner said she was balding last season, but when it
grew back in figured it was nothing. The vulva swelling can be also
cyclical.
I think if surgery is not an option, continue the lupron and melatonin.
I would save the money for the TN panel and put it towards her onging
medical/or surgical treatment in the future.
