Whether or not the shedding is related to an illness, it would probably be a good idea to give her a supplement for her skin and coat anyway. We used Welactin, which is just high quality salmon oil. Despite Neo being very sick, he looked great and had a soft coat and no shedding. We got it through our vet and gave him 0.5 ml daily. He also loved the taste more than anything else he ate, and would have made a meal out of it if we let him...
