Some of this could be stress from the loss Cho but it could also be a
normal seasonal change. We had one ferret that always lost only the
guard hairs when blowing his coat. In the summer time he looked so funny
b/c he just had his short undercoat! The vet commented on him several
times. He expressed the thought that it could be a hyper sensitivity to
the change in seasonal sunlight patterns. There were never any issues
due to this, just a ferret that looked a little different.
