Hi Deb
OK a large spleen is common in ferrets especially
in ferrets with a chronic disease such as adrenal
gland disease, insulinoma, and GI problems.
We basically assumed the right gland was enlarged
and overproducing the hormones. Scar tissue/adhesions
from a previous adrenal surgery is common. The prostate/
paraurethra cyst is good news.
I would continue with the Cipro, Lupron, Propecia, and
add melatonin too. No reason to panic yet. It has only been
a week since he recieved the high dose of Lupron, and it will
take more time than that to help.
Hang in there,
Jerry Murray, DVM
