Bethany,
Ferrets can adrenal disease as young as 9 months, and they often get a secondary vaginitis. If the swelling does not go down within a week of the antibiotic, you will want to reconsider the diagnosis.
As for the meds, dip the end of the dropper/syringe in ferretone before giving it, and let her lick it first :-)

Just an update.... My ferret Rosket's swollen vulva is due to vaginitis. We are giving her some antibiotics;) The vet was pretty sure since she is young, about 2, and since she is acting normal and has no hairloss. I am glad i was prepared for the worst, but I am so happy that my little girl is ok.
BUT she HATES the medicine... Anybody have any tips?
Bethany
