We had one old girl do this way back. She was about 9 and one day started walking in circles and falling over. We couldn't figure out what was wrong. She got worse throughout the day, until she didn't want to even move. She was on no medications, as she never had adrenal or insulinoma as far as we could tell (no symptoms).
The next morning we found her "comatose" -- unconscious with respirations about 2x/minute. We decided to let her go that day. Never did figure out what happened but we just chalked it up to old age and were happy to have her that long.
