I've been dealing with diarrhea with 10 ferrets for
over 2 years now. We've tried several antibiotics and
treatments. Mine however are NOT losing weight but I
give them a mix of Bob's chicken gravy, a big scoop of
canned pumpkin and a handful of their kibble with some
water. I let all this soak then blend it for about 2
minutes. I think this helps keep them hydrated. I'm
feeding them a mix of Iams kitten, Marshall farms, and
Maxximum nutrition for kittens. They ususally just
have one or two episodes daily of the watery. If it
stays more or goes on for several days in a row I put
them on Amoxy for 7 days.
I am afraid eventually it will take it's toll but mine
are fat and healthy and playful for now.
