Subject: [ferrethealth] Adrenal Symptoms Persisting 1 Month After Adrenal Surgery?
To: ferrethealth@yahoogroups.com

My male ferret had adrenal surgery approximately the 2nd week of
January, and he recovered fine. This surgery was performed by an
experienced ferret vet. It is now one month later, and he has
continued losing some hair at the base of his tail (although his hair
is growing back over his surgery incision) and he is aggressive and
runs around the room chucking and tries to gnaw on my wrist and
wrestle with the other ferrets (the other ferrets are getting pretty
tired of him!).

Is there anything we can do? Is this normal for them to still be
showing symptoms? Two other ferrets have mine have had adrenal
surgery and their symptoms did not continue.

Should/Can we wait a while to see if the symptoms go away or would it
be safer for the ferret to maybe get a shot of Lupron or something.
