Dear All,
Thank you so much for these wonderful responses. I hope they are
referenced on every ferret message board! I do believe, with the best
of intentions, that ferrets quite often are not getting the
prescribed meds because of them being included in soups that are
heated and/or microwaved. Included in the do-not-heat/nuke meds,
should also be lactated ringers. I've read it done with the
intention being that the fluid is more comforting when administered,
when ambient would suffice.

I'd also like to suggest to those that are having difficulty
administering meds, that they spend some time volunteering in a
shelter. We shelter moms have many techniques in how to get meds in
a sick ferret.
