Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: difficulty urinating

I did take him to the vet yesterday. She said he looks healthy and has
gained weight. She also said that when she heard of his difficulty
urinating she was ready to order a TN panel but because he's not
showing any signs of adrenal disease she's not sure if it is adrenal
disease. She also said that his bladder feels empty but when I brought
him home he peed with the usual ritual of going in and out of the
litter pan several times before finally pushing the urine out. She
wants to do an ultrasound which is going to have to wait until Monday.
I asked her if they have any Lupron but she said no. I called the vets
in this area and so far none of them have said that they have any
Lupron. I called the Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services and the
person I spoke to said that they do have an ultrasound there but the
doctors do not work with ferrets and so they don't have any Lupron
either.
