OK I have removed my foot from my mouth.
What is not clear to me is which of the following ferrets can
contract.
1. prostatitis =97 acute bacterial, chronic bacterial, and chronic
nonbacterial
2. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) or enlarged prostate
3. Prostate cancer
All of the above may result in urinary difficulties with other
various symptoms.
Testing for bacteria in the urine should prove or disprove that
part of the equation.
Is there a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test available for
ferrets to confirm or eliminate prostate cancer and/or BPH?
