I saw that episode of emergency vet. Pumpkin is a fiber and will both move
the bowls and firm them up. That's what fiber does. Though I would not
recommend the pie filling as the spices are not good for the ferts. I give
my ferrets Pumpkin from time to time if it seems their poop is not regular.
I mix it with their soup or some heavy whipping cream.
