Another important consideration:

Are you sure the Pred dose is maxed out? Why not post how many mg the ferret is getting
with each dose, how many doses are given each day, and if the med is Prednisone or
Prednisolone. All of those things can play into effectiveness.

Even if it truly is maxed out there are some other tricks which work for some which list
members may be able to share, but the info above is needed first.

Oh, also important: is food always available and very easy to reach. When a pancreatic
illness is advanced it even pays to make sure that a food dish is right next to the beds.
