Sorry for the lengthy delay in updating this post. This was a very
emotionally draining time frame, especially right smack dab in the
middle of the winter holiday season. And I am sorry to have to report
that both little girls perished.
Necropsies on both showed ecoli as the culprit. And from what I've
been told, it was a pretty nasty strain of the stuff. I am very sad
for the loss of life this brought about, but I am grateful the human
Dad did not contract anything, and that we were able to confine it to
the two individual ferrets.
The words "Thank you" don't come close to the degree of appreciation I
have for the help offered by all here. The off board emails were
forwarded onto our Veterinarians and the information exchange was
indispensable!
Many thanks to all.
Respectfully,
Debbie
