Subject: [ferrethealth] ear mites

I fought earmites with my ferrets all summer long. My vet finally told me to put the ferret's on the revolution and I said my problem with that was if it wicked up the hair they wouldn't get the full effect of the meds for heartworm prevention. Her opinion is that with cats and ferrets wicking is not a problem so much because of their grooming and injesting... I did put them on the revolution and have not had an earmite problem since.
For my dogs I do use Inteceptor or HeartGard Plus in addition to the Revolution. 2 weeks apart.
