Hi Bethany. Your vet could try an injection of hCG (human chorionic
gonadatropin) to see if the vulvar swelling goes down. As we know,
ferrets will not go out of heat unless they're bred so giving this
injection will bring them "out of heat". Another real possibility
that I would bet on is adrenal disease. Hope this helps.
