Subject: [ferrethealth] Re: ear mites

What would happen if you used the wrong Revolution product for treatment of ear mites? Would the chemical burn their skin. This is my greatest fear that I may use the wrong product for the treatment. Here in Australia, only one product is officially recognised for treatment of lice in ferrets - Advantage. When I rang the company they hesitated to give me an unofficial advice regarding the other products.
I also have pet mice, which someone advised just use a small dab of Advantage (which is officially suitable for ferrets), to treat the lice and mites? any vets on this site that can confirm what would happen if you overdoes on this product?
