Since it has been responsive to antibiotics I think it is likely a bacterial sinus infection (rather
than influenza which is viral).
Sometimes these can reoccur if not knocked down completely or if there is a silent carrier in
the family (which happened here one time with the ferrets and I when my hubby was a silent
carrier of a sinus infection) so keep in touch with your vet by phone if it doesn't pass and go
in if your vet says to, and ask your vet's advice, too, about the fostering because your vet has
seen the critters hands-on.
