His bowel movements are fine, they seem fine to me in relation to all
the other ferrets (I have 6 total). I put him his own cage today
because it has been hard to keep track of how much he is eating and
drinking and pooping while I am at work and they are all together. I
also made an appt. for a 2nd opinion, although the vet I use currently
is very ferret knowledgeable. The primary thing that is concerning me
is his weight loss, muscle loss and lethargy.

He is on Prednisolone Syrup.

When the doctor took the x-rays to look for a hairball or blockage I
asked him about his chest and he said there is no signs of tumor or
enlarged heart.

He doesn't make the hacking sounds as much anymore. I thought it was
a tooth problem but the vet carefully inspected his mouth. The
hacking sound, sounded like a cough or something was in his throat
when he drank water, and he would paw at the roof of his mouth. He
doesn't do that much anymore.
