Thank you for the information! The swelling is barely visible today,
so I am assuming that it is responding to the antibiotics. No tests
were done yesterday, he only received a quick exam, as this vet was
not comfortable treating ferrets. However, she works at the same
hospital as the ferret specialist that we normally see. He will talk
to us tomorrow and schedule a follow-up visit for proper diagnosis and
treatment. I will post the results when we know more.
